My Design Story
After remodeling my own property from the ground up 5 years ago off the back of a rather freestyle decision to move from England to Maine (via 65 countries I might add), my husband and I opened our doors and welcomed guests from all over the world via Airbnb.
People gathered in our home and immediately relaxed. Their shoulders dropped, they shared a story or two and then they would sit a while. And then a while longer. And then they'd ask to stay another night. The guests put it down to the house being so peaceful, so welcoming and so beautifully designed. I, being me, put it down to the wine we were serving and the great company, almost disbelieving that so many people could feel as much an attachment to my home as I could.
It turns out that we had done an astonishing job. Even design magazine editors, architects, photographers and interior designers agreed when they came to stay with us. So, when the opportunity came up to renovate two more properties I jumped at the chance, and to keep it short, they were also a roaring success, doubling the value of the properties in just 2 years.
Top to Toe remodels are a BIG deal. My own house took 18 months, the other two properties a year each, so after 5 years of hands on training, I am ready to help you create the home you love to live in; the home you want to share with absolutely everyone, the home you love so much you can't wait for winter to arrive so that you can hibernate in it...yes, even in Maine. Believe me, it's a thing that happens.

Professionally, I have a Degree in Illustration and Graphics, a Vocational Qualification in Art and Design and when living in the UK I worked in Retail Management and Area Management.
Since moving to Maine I have started a couple of my own businesses in Belfast, and I volunteer for several organizations in the local community. Namely, Our Town Belfast, Bay Pro and I am also a SCORE mentor, helping other entrepreneurs develop business plans and to bring their ideas into fruition.
Working in a creative field comes naturally to me and the last 5 years of hands-on building and design experience has pushed me to pursue a lifelong passion of working to create something beautiful, every day.
